It is hard to make sense of the amount of information available on the web today, yet it is critical to listen and engage. We developed the BuzzMonitor, an open source application that "listens" to what people are saying about the World Bank across blogs and other sites in order to help the organization understand and engage in social media.

We have released BuzzMonitor as a module for the Drupal content management system. The BuzzMonitor module is a semantic engine that allows aggregation (using FeedAPI), categorization and analysis of news content, from all over the Web, via integration with some of the most advanced modern APIs and Web services.

BuzzMonitor is a developer module, with a limited user-interface. It is used to power other social media aggregation applications like Tattler. If you're not a developer, we'd encourage you to check out Tattler or other social media aggregation tools.
